Nepal had been calling to us for a while. We started in chaotic and colorful Kathmandu, before taking a long, winding bus ride to Pokhara. From there, a bumpy jeep led us deep into the Annapurna region, where we set off on a trek through quiet villages and stunning mountain landscapes. After days of walking and soaking it all in, we made our way back to Kathmandu… Already dreaming about the next time.
Kathmandu
Nepal’s capital city is chaotic in the best kind of way. Temples on every corner, scooters weaving through narrow alleys, prayer flags blowing in the breeze. It’s a city that feels alive. A little overwhelming, a little magical, and one of the most photogenic places we’ve ever wandered through.
Pokhara
Mornings by the lake, slow walks through town, snow-capped peaks just barely visible through the clouds. Pokhara is the kind of place that makes you slow down without even trying. Peaceful, a little sleepy, and just what we needed before heading into the mountains.
The Himalayas
The Poon Hill trek was just three days, but it packed in a lot. Stone steps, quiet villages, rhododendron forests, snowy slopes, and glimpses of the dramatic Himalayas along the way. It wasn’t easy, but it felt good to move, to be outside, to wake up with the sun and simply just walk.
